I love to play basketball
It’s the best game ever played
Every time I play a team
I am never afraid

The team dribbles up and down
Trying to score the ball
If your short it could be hard
So I’m lucky I am tall

The game is almost over
And the score is tied
Win or lose this game
I am keeping all my pride

Basketball is the best sport
I love to play this game
Hopefully in the future
People will know my name

The Sean Bertanza Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity that was started in 2013 by Sean’s family members as a way to keep his memory alive.

Sean’s positive attitude and passion for basketball and sports showed in everything he did and left a lasting impression on everyone he came in contact with. As a graduate and former captain of the Seymour basketball team, Seymour High School started the Sean Bertanza Seymour Wildcat Scholarship Fund which is given out in memory of Sean each year to a senior Seymour High School basketball player for their outstanding achievement. It is our goal to keep this scholarship funded to help students pursue their dreams of college and sports for many years to come.

The support we have received from the community has been amazing and we would like to show our gratitude by helping others.
